Discovering Lush Handmade Cosmetics

A few weeks back I was invited to attend the Bloggers United Birthday Bash held at Lush Marion.

It was an evening of games, canapes, chatting to other bloggers and of course learning about some of the fab products at Lush.

Now I’ll be honest, I had been into Lush before but aside from the occasional bath bomb I hadn’t really considered looking into any of the other products sold in store.

kkkk

The Lush event was a great way for me to see what’s on offer and what I have been missing out on!

Lush gifted each blogger an item of their choice to take home and try, I am always on the lookout for great and affordable skin care so I choose the Skin Drink Facial Moisturizer.

I have quite dry skin but am still prone to hormonal breakouts from time to time so I need something that is going to help both those things. (Side bar, I thought pimples were meant to stop by my age, is it possible to be getting wrinkles and pimples at the same time?!?!) from the first time I put the skin drink on my face I knew it was a keeper but to be sure I’ve been using it for a few weeks now and I am still head over heels.

Its hard working yet light, non-oily and completely made from natural ingredients and safe synthetics. Oh and they never test on animals – If you’re looking for a new face moisturiser then I highly recommend giving this one a whirl!

I also purchased some massage bars which basically look just like a bar of soap that when rubbed against the skin melt into a gentle massage oil.

Now massages are all fine and dandy but personally I use them in the shower as a great alternative to body moisturiser, it glides on easily especially when wet and will keep your skin feeling silky and smooth for the rest of the day.

It’s like a magical soap, but not a soap at all!

I absolutely love them, especially during the high winter chills when the last thing you feel like doing is putting cold moisturiser all over your skin, this is done in shower, no fuss and takes 2 seconds… amazing!

My only criticism, and even then I’m reaching, is that they don’t really last that long so I advise that you stock up of it’s your thing!

There is a body butter bar specially designed for the shower which I also purchased called King of the Skin, (Round one pictured). They are both great options, I guess it comes down to which scent you choose and trust me they smell divine!

Again these are all natural/ safe synthetics and not tested on animals!
